Acceptable use policy
This policy sets out what is allowed and forbidden across every Pandem service, servers, web hosting, email, DNS. It complements the GTS and the EULA; every customer, and every user they invite, agrees to follow it.
Last updated: 30 September 2026
1. Purpose
To protect other customers, Pandem’s network (AS205305) and the Internet at large. A shared resource only works if everyone uses it fairly.
2. Prohibited content
You may not host, distribute or facilitate access to:
- any content that is illegal under French or European law (child sexual abuse material, terrorist content, incitement to hatred, counterfeiting…);
- malware, phishing kits, or pages impersonating a third party to obtain credentials or payment details;
- personal data collected or processed without a legal basis;
- content infringing the rights of others (privacy, trademarks, copyright);
- services whose purpose is to help third parties get around these rules.
3. Prohibited network use
- denial-of-service attacks, port or vulnerability scans of systems without their owner’s written permission;
- spoofing IP addresses, domain names or sender identities;
- open relays, proxies or open DNS resolvers usable by third parties;
- cryptocurrency mining that degrades shared resources;
- any attempt to access another customer’s or Pandem’s data or systems.
4. Email
The reputation of our sending addresses is shared by every customer. Therefore:
- no unsolicited mail: commercial messages require the recipient’s prior consent (article L.34-5 of the French Postal and Electronic Communications Code) and a working unsubscribe link;
- no purchased, rented or harvested lists;
- your plan’s sending limits apply whatever client you use; getting around them (multiplying accounts, splitting sends) is forbidden;
- an abnormal complaint or bounce rate suspends sending while we investigate.
5. Domain names and DNS
You may only add domains you control; proving ownership is mandatory. Creating a zone nested inside a third party’s or Pandem’s domain is forbidden.
Published records must not be used for phishing or malware distribution.
6. What happens on a breach
Depending on severity, Pandem may:
- warn the customer and give a reasonable time to fix the problem;
- suspend the service at once when a breach threatens the network, other customers or third parties, or when manifestly illegal content is reported;
- terminate the service for a serious or repeated breach, without refund of the current period.
Pandem keeps connection data and answers requests from the authorities as provided by law.
7. Reporting abuse
Abuse can be reported to abuse@pandem.fror through the abuse report form. Every report is reviewed; include the address, URL or full message headers concerned.
8. Illegal content (LCEN / DSA)
Anyone may notify content they believe to be illegal, with a description, the exact location of the content and the reasons why it is illegal, and their name and email address (not required for child sexual abuse material). Pandem acts promptly on receipt of a complete notice, tells the notifier its decision, and gives the customer concerned its reasons and a way to contest them.
9. Changes to this policy
Pandem may change this policy; customers are told about substantial changes. The GTS set out the contractual consequences.
